Message from Mayor Paul Pisasale
This year the Ipswich Festival is set to raise the bar yet again with a strong program of events which will include more local performances, community events and activities. The vast majority of events are free or low cost. This is made possible with the support of generous corporate sponsors including Energex and Channel Nine.
The entire 12 day celebration will start with loads of fun and excitement with the Festival Markets, Street Parade and Street Party on Saturday April 27.
All your favourite festival signature events are also making a return in 2013 including –
- Kids Kingdom
- Jazz Wine and Blues
- Global Fiesta; and
- Brisbane to Ipswich Bike Challenge
There are so many free and low-cost events on the program that it would be impossible to mention all of them here. The following pages list the complete program of events the whole family can enjoy, so there’s no excuse for staying home during the festival.
Ipswich Festival time also gives local residents an excuse to invite family and friends to visit our city.
