Welcome to the 2011 Ipswich Festival and join us in the celebration of the enduring spirit of the City of Ipswich. This is the time to be entertained, inspired, delighted and rewarded through the essence of our City's culture, spirit and community, to lift us above adversity and despair.
The support from local community groups, businesses, the media and corporate sponsors has exceeded our expectations once again, with the collaboration of a stimulating festival program offering an assortment of entertainment and activities for all ages to participate in.
The signature events of the `Fire on the River', Kids Kingdom featuring Scooby Doo, Jazz, Wine & Blues and the Festival Street Parade will continue to enchant and entertain. The festival parade will pay tribute to those who assisted and supported in the flood cleanup, with a culmination of activities across five stages at the Top of Town Street Party. `Global Fiesta' in Queens Park presents a stimulating array of multicultural flavours and performances from across the globe. Amongst the week-long celebrations there will be the many art exhibitions and community shows expressing the diversity of our City.
