In the city's 150th year, Ipswich enjoys the active participation of communities from over 115 nations. In a spectacular celebration of cultural diversity, we present an international journey through dance, songs, exotic costumes, delightful foods, and a visual extravaganza that showcases our extraordinarily rich cultural life.
In a mesmerising five-hour concert, commencing with our own indigenous dancers Nunukul Yuggera, Global Fiesta will take you on a rhythmic journey driven by the pulse of Islander dances, to the visual enchantment of Asha Shah's Bollywood, Jaida D'Olivera and his Brazilian beats to the dance music of Spaceifix.
The afternoon's finale is a truly stunning performer - none other than Grace Barbé.
With musical and cultural roots in the tiny Indian Ocean nation of Seychelles, Grace is the Diva of World Music.
She brings all of the beauty and enchantment of her island home and its unique fusion of African, French and Asian traditions: sensuality, authentic afro-beat and reggae, with a touch of Parisian elegance.
